Two arrested for possessing heroin worth 50 lakhs

Krishnagar, Sep 22 (UNI) Two persons were arrested at Shantipur here for possessing heroin worth Rs 50 lakhs.

Police said the accused who were travelling in an ambassador from Ranaghat were arrested yesterday and produced in the special court of Krishnanagar today.

Police said investigation is on to apprehend the racket involved in the matter.

Court acquits 2 arrested in 2003 for possessing heroin

New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) A local court today acquitted two persons arrested from Mongolpuri in 2003 on charges of possessing 1.5 kg of heroin. Karnal, Sep 22 (UNI) A Superintendent Engineer (SE) of Uttari Haryana Bijli Nigam has been fined for pilfering power at his residence here. A vigilance team of the Bijli Nigam, during a videographed raid at his house here yesterday, found seals of the meter tempered for pilferage. Pak infiltrator caught at Sriganganagar borders

Jaisalmer, Sep 22 (UNI) A Pakistani infiltrator was caught by the Border Security Forces (BSF) in border area of Srigangangar district today and was returned to Pak Rangers.
