Tribal raped

Harda, MP, Sep 22 (UNI) A 17-year-old tribal has been raped by a man at Masangaon in this district, police said today.

Mohan (21) sexually assaulted the victim about six months back and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

However, she became pregnant and family members lodged a police complaint.

The accused is absconding.

Exchange of fire between AR and NLFT, arms recovered

Agartala, Sep 22 (UNI) A fierce exchange of fire took place between the Assam Rifles (AR) jawans and National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) Biswamohan faction at Gandachera in Dhalai district yesterday. Acting on a tip-off about movement of militants in the area, AR jawans of the 15th batallion launched a search operation. Itanagar, Sep 22 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet has given a nod for constituting a water resource regulatory authority to regulate all the water resources of the state and its proper utility for socio-economic development of this under-developed state.
