Three NLFT militants surrendered

Agartala, Sep 22 (UNI) Two hardcore militants belonging to the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT)'s Biswamohan faction and one collaborator surrendered to the Assam Rifles (AR) and Tripura State Rifles (TSR) at Anand Bazar Camp in Kanchanpur Sub-Division of Tripura's North District today..

The militants laid down two revolvers, AR sources said.

9 policemen suspended in custodial suicide case

Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI)The Uttar Pradesh government today suspended nine policemen, including a station officer (SO), posted in Shahjahanpur for their alleged laxity as an accused committed suicide in custody. State Home Secretary Arun Kumar Sinha told newspersons here today that an accused Rajbir's body was found hanging in the lavatory of Kanth police station in Shahjahanpur district yesterday.
