Thomas Cook bags best travel operator award 2006-07

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Thomas Cook India, travel solutions company today announced it has been conferred with the honour of being adjudged the Best Outbound and Inbound Travel operator for the year 2006-07.

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni presented the award to Mr Gautam Sharma, Head of Marketing and Financial Services of the company.

The company has already been a recipient of awards including the TTG Asia Award for the best travel Agency and the National Tourism Award for highest exchange earning from tourism.

Thomas Cook India offers a broad spectrum of travel-related services such as package tours, currency exchange and travel insurance as well as hotel and flight reservations.

It also has branches in Sri Lanka and Mauritius and operates a total of 68 offices at various locations in the country and is presently celebrating 125 years of presence in India.

Rs 6.10 per unit with new naphta for Dabhol : Shinde

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) The 2,184 MW Dabhol power project will restart next month at a cost of Rs 6.10 a unit as it would be now run on a new consignment of naptha that is more expensive due to current high oil prices, Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said today.
