Police yet to make any arrest in Lalgarh case

Midnapore, Sep 22 (UNI) Police were yet to make a breakthrough in yesterday's blast at Lalgarh in the district in which two policemen were killed and 29 others, including seven journalists, were injured.

West Bengal Director General of Police Anup Bhora, who reached here last night, went to the spot this morning and inspected the whole area strewn with bomb particles, pieces of wire and torn plastics.

He also directed the combing operation for about an hour.

'' We have to take lessons from this incident. Yesterday's happening is really sad in view of the fact that so many journalists were also injured. We will see the same error is not repeated. We are enquiring the incident from different aspects, '' Mr Bhora said.

Asked as to why such crude method was adopted in opening the can containing explosive, he said this was not high time for fixing up responsibility.

He, however, assured that police will take up the issue later.

TN Govt to float tender to procure 25 lakh Colour TV sets

TRS likely to break up with Congress; KCR to contest again
