New Kamakhya Temple timings

Guwahati, Sep 22 (UNI) The management of historic Kamakhya Temple, the famous shakti shrine here, have rescheduled the time for keeping the temple door open from tomorrow in view of Durga puja.

An office bearer of Kamakhya Temple management committee informed that during September 23 and 28, the temple door will be opened at 9 am instead of the usual 8 am and be kept open till sunset sans the usual noon break.

Subsequently, on Saptami Day during Durga puja, the temple door will be opened for devotees at 10-30 am till the sunset while during Ashtami and Navami days the temple will remain open for devotees from 11-30 am till sunset. On Dashami Day the devotees can visit the temple from 9-30 in the morning.

Like previous occasions three buffaloes will be sacrificed in the temple as part of Durga puja rituals on Ashtami and Navami days.

JIPMER staff stir enters 15th day

Puducherry, Sep 22 (UNI) Medical services at the centrally- administered JIPMER Hospital continued to remain affected for the 15th day today following the indefinite strike by the staff against the grant of autonomy to the institution even as 17 more employees were suspended. The staff gathered outside the JIPMER premises and held a dharna as they could not organise any agitation inside the campus following a Madras High Court order. Raipur, Sep 22 (UNI) A local court has issued bailable warrants against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, two Chhattisgarh ministers and 57 other BJP leaders in connection with a case registered against them during an agitation five years ago. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Satyabhama yesterday ordered to issue bailable warrants against Mr Singh, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister Amar Agrawal, PWD Minister Rajesh Munat and about 57 BJP leaders after the police filed.....

Srinagar, Sep 22 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has handed over the Trikuta Nagar murder case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), an official spokesman said today. In a first incident of its kind in the state's winter capital on the intervening night of September 17-18, unidentified assailants murdered three members of a family, their driver and domestic help. Those killed were cement dealer and contractor Rajinder Bhushan Chopra, his wife, Madhu.....
