Militant group against involvement in contract works

Imphal Sep 22 (UNI) The banned People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has appealed to all not to do any contract work in its name.

In a statement issued here it further warned that anybody who violates its directive would be punished. The outfit had earlier stopped any activities related to taking contract work in the state.

Meanwhile, the banned United National Liberation Front (UNLF) had nabbed a man allegedly working as an informer to the military. The man was produced before mediapersons here last evening and later handed over to the family members.

The UNLF claimed that as the man was under pressure to give information about militants, he started giving wrong reports which led to the arrest of innocent people.
