Kalidas Samaroh to get underway on Nov 1

Ujjain, MP, Sep 22 (UNI) The seven-day Akhil Bharatiya Kalidas Samaroh will get underway in this temple town on November 1 on the occasion of Devprabodhani Ekadashi, official sources said.

The samaroh is organised by the Madhya Pradesh Government under the joint auspices of the Vikram University, the Akhil Bharatiya Kalidas Parishad and the Kalidas Sanskrit Academy.

A committee meeting regarding organising the programme will be chaired by state Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma on September 25.

In a bid to provide the samaroh an international aura, seminars will be organised during the programme, which will see participation from intellectuals from France, Germany, Spain, the US and other countries.

On the eve of the festival on October 31, a 'mangal samarambh' will be organised near the bank of Kshipra river. Various artists will perform programme on the occasion.
