Jharkhand CM leaves for Ranchi after meeting Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today left for Ranchi after meeting top UPA leaders, including alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi here last evening.

He also called on Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad.

This was the first visit of Mr Koda to the national capital after winning the vote of confidence in the state assembly on September 20.

The new government, which replaced the Arjun Munda-led NDA regime, is supported by the Congress, RJD and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. The RJD and JMM are part of the Government, while Congress is providing outside support.

Sources said Mr Koda is expected to come again here again to meet the Prime Minister and other leaders to take up issues related to the economic development of Jharkhand.

Mulayam scoffs at Cong for terming UP govt spendthrift
