Jersey Pride wins the main event

Mysore, Sep 22 (UNI) Hot favourite Jersey Pride (Suraj Narredu up) claimed the A C Somanna Memorial Trophy the main event of the races held here today.

The winner is owned by Mr Ananth Iyengar and trained by M Eshwer.

Trainer R Foley and Jockey B Prakash scored hatrick while trainer M Eshwer and jockey Suraj Narredu had a brace of winners each.Five favourites are obliged in a card of eight events.

Bangalore, Sep 22 (UNI) Low cost carrier Air Deccan has signed a term sheet with a consortium of foreign bankers to raise US Dollars 100 million towards its working capital for the next 22 months. Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 22 (UNI) The South-west Monsoon has been active over Kerala and Lakshadweep with rain and thunder showers occuring at most places. Mancheri received a rainfall of 6 cm followed by Karipur Airport, Mannarkkad and Thalassery 5 cm each. CCCI threatens agitation

Govt. to start Horticulture outlets in villages: Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 22 (UNI) Kerala Agriculture Minister Mullakara Ratnakaran today said the government would open horticulture outlets in all the village in the state in five months. Talking to mediapersons here, he said the project was aimed at marketing organically cultivated vegetables in the state.
