Illegal weapons factory busted

Morena, MP, Sep 22 (UNI) Police have unearthed an illegal weapons factory, which supplied arms to criminals within Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, and arrested two persons.

CSP Jaibir Singh Bhadoria told UNI that 25 partially-assembled crude guns, nine country-made guns and several implements were seized.

''TI Rajeev Chaturvedi received a tip-off that the weapons were being assembled at Mahesh Choubey's farm for a long time,'' he added.

Choubey and Dinesh were being interrogated.

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) The CBI today claimed to have solved the 2003 killing of Pramod Kumar Singh in Dhanbad, which led to largescale protests and subsequent transfer of the case to the central agency, with the arrest of a coal mafioso. Accused Suresh Singh, member of a coal mafia of Dhanbad, was arrested on September 19 for allegedly giving 'supari' to kill Pramod Kumar, who worked under him, said the CBI. Investigations.....

Govt to appeal in SC against HC order

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 22 (UNI) Kerala Law Minister M Vijayakumar today said the government would go in appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court order lifting the ban on the sale of Coca-Cola and Pepsi in the state. Talking to mediapersons here, he said the government would take all measures to ensure legal protection in this regard. School staff to accompany students in school bus

Special trains during Durga Puja

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Northern Railways have decided to run several special trains during the Durga Puja festival for the convenience of rail passengers. During the season, a special train will operate between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Dehradun stations from October 1 to October 31, a Northern Railway spokesperson said. The 2017A Hazrat Nizamuddin-Dehradun A.C. Special train will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 1130 hours daily to reach Dehradun at 0545 hours.....
