Hizb ultra killed in Kashmir encounter

Baramulla, Sep 22 (UNI) Border Security Forces (BSF) troops shot dead a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant during a fierce encounter in apple-town of Sopore this evening.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Baramulla) Viplav Kumar said that militants fired on a patrol party of BSF at Tarzoo Sopore this evening.

The fire was returned by the troops and in the ensuing encounter, a Hizb militant Parvez Ahmad was killed.

A pistol and two magazines were seized from his possession, he said, adding the militant was active in the area for quite some time.
