Draw for Mumbai Tennis Open on Saturday; ticket sales from Sunday

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) The gates will open on Sunday, September 24 for ticket sales to the much-awaited Kingfisher Airlines Tennis Open 2006, which is all set to enthrall Mumbai with thrilling matches from an impressive line-up of stars who will battle for the crown.

Meanwhile, the draw for the main event will be done tomorrow.

The qualifiers will also begin tomorrow with the main draw beginning on Monday.

The dazzling player field, consisting of an array of top-ranked players including former World No 1 Carlos Moya, will blaze the courts at CCI here from September 25 to October 1 in their quest for the 380,000 dollars Kingfisher Airlines Tennis Open title. India's tennis idol Mahesh Bhupathi will be seen in action in the doubles with World No 10 Mario Ancic as his partner. The pair is fresh from a win at the Beijing Open just last week. India's leading singles players Rohan Bopanna and Karan Rastogi will also be participating in the main draw and give Indian tennis lovers a lot to cheer about.

The tickets for this exciting display of tennis are priced at only Rs 150 and Rs 250 for the matches from September 25 to 28, and Rs 250 and Rs 500 for what will be enthralling quarter-finals, semi-finals and final on September 29, 30 and October 1 respectively.

Tickets will be available at the ticket counter at Gate No 7 at the CCI, JN Tata Road, Opp. Ritz Hotel, Churchgate from 1200 hrs onwards up to 1600 hrs.

Britain calls for summit meeting on Darfur crisis
