District-wise Committee to be set up for LB polls: TNCC

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President M Krishnasswamy today said district-wise Committee would be set up for the ensuing local body elections in Tamil Nadu.

In a release here Mr Krishnasswamy said MPs, MLAs of the respective districts, district presidents and responsible persons of the party would form Committees and discuss with the poll committees of DMK and other alliance partners to facilitate the process for seat-sharing.

He said those who desired to participate in the elections should submit their applications to their respective district poll committee. The applications would be accepted free of cost, he added.

He asked the party cadres to ensure the victory of Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) candidates in the elections, the release added.

Toyota to up Prius output in Japan by 50 pct-paper
