CFMG meet reviews cease fire progress

Kohima, Sep 22 (UNI) A close-door discussion was held at Dimapur between the Centre and the NSCN-IM representatives to review the whole ganeut pertaining to the ceasefire.

The meeting held yesterday was attended by the Chairman of the Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG), Inspector General of Asom Rifles (IGAR), CRPF Deputy Inspector General and Nagaland Director General of Police along with the NSCN-IM Convenor of the Cease Fire Monitoring Cell.

''We shared each other's concern and the meeting went well,'' CFMG chairman said.

However, NSCN-IM spokesman Phungthing Shimrang said the outfit had claimed before the Centre the violation of ground rules by the Indian Armed Forces.

'The alleged nexus between Indian Armed Forces and NSCN (K) had been questioned frequently,' he said.

Bansagar project to irrigate MP, UP, Bihar fields

SCR to run pooja specials

Vijayawada, Sep 22 (UNI) The South Central Railway (SCR) will run long distance pooja special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Dussehara Festival season, Vijayawada Division Additional Divisional Railway Manager K V V Satyanarayana informed this at a press conference here today.
