BSP suspends Khalilabad MP Bhal Chand Yadav

Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) today suspended Khalilabad Lok Sabha Member Bhal Chand Yadav from the party for anti-party activities and indiscipline.

Mr Yadav tried to pressurise party chief Ms Mayawati on selection of the party candidates for the coming assembly elections in Khalilabad, according to BSP national general secretary Naseemuddin Siddique. The MP even threatened to work against the official candidate of the party if his candidates were not given ticket, he claimed.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Siddqiue said the MP violated the party ideologies and was not accepting the party's policy for ticket distribution in the assembly elections.

Mr Yadav won the 2004 Lok Sabha election from Khalilabad seat in Basti district on BSP ticket after Samajwadi Party refused to make him the candidate even though he was a sitting member.
