Absconding ABVP leader arrested in Sabharwal case

Ujjain, Sep 22 (UNI) An absconding ABVP leader, Vishal Rajoria, was arrested here today, taking to six those arrested on the charge of murdering Prof H S Sabharwal here during students violence last month.

A total of 6 ABVP leaders, including its State President Shashi Ranjan Singh Akela and Organising Secretary Vimal Tomar, were arrested on murder charge after the CID took over investigation into Prof Sabharwal's death.

Three absconding ABVP activists Sudhir Yadav, Pankaj Mishra and Hemant Dube were arrested on Tuesday and were remanded to police custody till September 26, while Akela and Tomar were on judicial remand till September 29.

As many as 37 people, including Sudhir Yadav and Hemant Dube, were released on bail after their arrest earlier on the charge of rioting and rampaging at the Madhav College campus on August 26 after postponement of students union elections. Many NSUI and Congress leaders were among those arrested for rioting.

N Korean fugitives out of jail in Thailand

BANGKOK, Sep 22 (Reuters) A group of 159 North Korean refugees jailed in Thailand for illegal entry have been released after serving a 30-day sentence and will be allowed to leave the country soon, the United Nations today said. ''They've been moved out of jail and are being processed.
