4 lakh devotees take holy dip in Mandakini

Chitrakoot, Sep 22 (UNI) About four lakh devotees took holy dip in Mandakini river heart this ancient religious spot on the occasion of 'Pitra Visarjan Amavasya' today.

The devotees -- mainly from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan -- also performed the 'parikrama' of Kadamgiri.

District Magistrate Radhakrishna Singh said tight security arrangements had been made in view of the mammoth gathering of devotees.
