Unclaimed bag creates bomb scare in Surat

Surat, Sep 21 (UNI) An unclaimed bag lying on the roadside has created a bomb scare in the city today.

Athwa police station sources said a passer-by noticed a bag on the pavement of Sumul Dairy Road and thought that it contained something explosive.

He immediately informed them, who came to the spot and examined the bag. After a thorough search, they found that the bag contained some computer repairing tools.

Sambalpur, Sep 22 (UNI) The Jharsuguda police has arrested seven persons including one reserve Police Sub-Inspector Sachidananda Nayak on charges of possessing one million American dollars. Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Santosh Bala said the Department of Treasuries of US was being informed about these people. Woman kills three daughters; commits suicide

Madikeri, Karnataka, Sep 22 (UNI) A woman killed her three daughters by throwing them into a tank, before committing suicide in a similar way, at Tolur Shettalli near Somwarpet here. Sachini (30), wife of labourer Ganesh, took the extreme step after she was allegedly raped by one Sudhakar.
