Tortoise worth Rs one lakh recovered, one arrested

Gorakhpur, Sep 16 (UNI) Police have arrested a miscreant and seized tortoises estimated at Rs one lakh in the interntional market here.

Acting on a tip-off, cops rushed to Kusmahi village under Khorabar police station area and nabbed Rajendra Prasad.

A gunny bag carrying tortoises was also recovered.

Later, the reptiles were released in a pond.

An FIR was lodged against the culprit under relevant sections.
