Talking to newspersons at his Thailapuram residence here, Dr Ramadoss said the Committee should also elicit the views of various political parties in this connection.
He said the Committee should submit its recommendations to the government within this year itself. The government should take steps to implement the common syllabus from the next academic year itself, he added.
He said the Government should provide quality education to both urban and rural schools.
He said in New Delhi following the High Court and Supreme Court judgements, poor and downtrodden students were being admitted in some reputed private schools. The state should also emulate, he added.
Dr Ramadoss said 15 per cent reservation should be provided for the admission of poor and needy students in private schools. All political parties should extend support in this regard, he added.
