Two buses stoned in Anand

Anand, Sep 13 (UNI) Angry school and college students created commotion here today morning at the main inter-district bus stand protesting against the State Transport controller's behaviour.

Around 150 students who come daily from Bharoda, Ode, Sarsa, Tamburaj and Kanpur villages had accosted the controller and told him that they had already given representation in writing for direct bus service to their villages.

They also told him that they are daily late to schools and colleges by two hours which causes them inconvience to which the controller replied brusquely saying that nothing can be done as of now and they have to put up with the hardships.

The students then threw stones and damaged the window panes of two buses and also snapped wires of telephones and also the wire of the controller's mike.

Plea to Sonia to close highway running through Jarawa land

Port Blair, Sep 13 (UNI) An organisation supporting tribals has presented a petition with 50,000 signatures in support of Andaman's primitive Jarawa tribe to Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and to the Indian High Commission in London. Rains and thunder showers likely in next 24 hours in Bengal

Kolkata, Sep 13 (UNI) A few spells of rains and thunder showers are likely in Gangetic Bengal in the next 24 hours. Met officials said here today that the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.2 degree celsius while the minimum was 27.4 degree celsius. The maximum relative humidity was 97 per cent while the minimum was 71 per cent. The Met office has forecast medium to heavy rains in other parts of the state as.....

Floors to be registered separately in Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) In a far reaching step, Haryana government has decided to formulate a comprehensive policy for registration of each floor separately on the pattern of the policy of the Chandigarh Administration and issue licences to property dealers so as to make them answerable. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the Resources Mobilisation Committee held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here last evening......
