Tottenham winger Lennon recovers from knee injury

LONDON, Sep 13 (Reuters) Tottenham Hotspur's England winger Aaron Lennon has recovered from a knee injury and will travel to Prague for this week's UEFA Cup first-round, first-leg tie against Slavia Prague, the club said.

Spurs manager Martin Jol had told the Spurs Web site on Sunday that Lennon's injury could require surgery but the teenager trained with the squad yesterday and will have a late fitness test before Tottenham open their UEFA Cup campaign.

The 19-year-old, who played in England's recent Euro 2008 qualifiers against Andorra and Macedonia, missed Spurs' 1-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester United on Saturday after picking up the injury in training on Friday.

There were initially doubts over whether he would be fit when England's Euro 2008 Group E campaign resumes on October 7 against Macedonia but he should now be available.
