Three years RI to person for having unnatural sex

Hamirpur, Sep 13 (UNI) A local court in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh today sentenced a person to three years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 under Sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In its order, the court sentenced the person to three years RI and a fine of Rs 5,000 for forcing the girl to have sex with him in an unnatural manner and another punishment of six months and a fine of Rs 1,000 for threatening the victim and her family.

The person was accused of having sex with the girl in an unnatural manner in her house on January 13, earlier this year.

He was also accused of threatening the girl with dire consequences if she reported the matter to the police.

However, the parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the police after she narrated the incident to them.

India, Brazil to continue G-4 initiative for UNSC seats

Brasilia, Sep 13 (UNI) India and Brazil have decided to continue working closely together in the G-4 framework to realise their aspirations for permanent seats in the United Nations Security Council. Nikkei seen opening higher, may test 16,000

TOKYO, Sep 13 (Reuters) The Nikkei average is expected to rise on Wednesday, and could test 16,000 as heavyweight stocks such as Advantest Corp. lead the market higher following a rally in US shares. Non-ferrous metals, energy and other commodity-related stocks may be capped, however, after crude oil prices fell for the seventh straight day on easing concerns about supply shortage, sending gold, copper and other commodities lower in overseas markets. Nikkei opens 1 pct higher as heavyweights gain

Tokyo, Sep 13: The Nikkei average rose 1.17 percent on Wednesday, recovering from a one-month closing low the previous day as heavyweight stocks such as Fanuc Ltd. led the market higher following a rally in U.S. shares.The Nikkei was 184.08 points higher at 15,903.42 as of 0004 GMT after losing a total of 361 points in the previous two-day decline.The broader TOPIX index was up 1.02 percent at 1,602.15.Reuters.....
