Telgi case: Technical snag forces adjournment

Bangalore, Sept 13: Multi-crore stamp paper scam kingpin Abdul Kareem Telgi today once again failed to make any confessional statement before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) here due to a technical snag in the tele-conferencing facility, connecting the court with Yerawad prison in Pune where the case against the accused was lodged.

Though Telgi appeared in the screen from the Pune prison and tried to communicate something to CMM Vasanthkumar, the latter could not hear it due to a technical flaw in the facility. Following this, the Magistrate postponed the case to September 29.

Telgi had expressed his intention to make a confessional statement in person before the CMM here and his petition in this regard is pending before the Supreme Court.
