Second Men's Fashion Fair to be held in Bangalore from Oct 11

Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) Leading fashion designers from the country and abroad will showcase the latest trends and styles in men's wear at the second Castle India Men's Fashion Fair, to be held here from October 11.

Organised by Prasad Bidappa Associates in association with Percept D'Mark, the four-day event, to be held with the Bangalore Palace as the backdrop, was the only Indian fashion platform to provide an overall perspective on men's fashion, encompassing designer wear and popular brands.

Besides popular Indian designers, Deepak Perwani from Pakistan, Hemant Lecaonet from France, Martin Anderson from England, Bihi Rassell from Bangladesh and Samuel Kevin from Singapore would showcase their latest collections at the show, Mr Bidappa told newspersons here today.

Popular brands, including Savile Row, Louis Phillipe, Van Heusen and Esprit, would also present their collections. The Indian designers would be led by Rohit Bal and Raghavendra Rathore, with Hemant Trevedi making a foray into men's wear for the first time.

As a preview, leather collections from the Royal House of Mysore of Wadiyar scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, Hemant Trivedi, Allen Solly and Paresh Lamba were exhibited today.

1460 live star tortoises seized from passenger

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) Customs officials at Meenambakkam Airport intercepted a passenger bound for Kuala Lumpur and seized 1460 live star tortoises. According to an official release, one Loh Seng Hong, bound for Kuala Lumpur by Jet Airways, was intercepted and questioned on suspicion. Banned drug "Ketamine" seized from Chennai airport

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) The customs officials at Meenambakkam Airport have seized two parcels of scheduled drug ''Ketamine'', which had been banned in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and China.
