Rahul sprains leg, cuts short visit to Amethi

Amethi, UP, Sep 13 (UNI) Congress MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi had to cut short his four-day visit to his parliamentary constituency due to a sprain in his leg and left for Delhi much to the disappointment of his electorate who had gathered to meet him.

Mr Gandhi, who was here on Monday , sprained his leg this morning at the guest house he was staying at. After spending s few minutes at Dakhipur where he had gone to inaugurate a road, Rahul cut short his stay and flew back to the national capital a day before his scheduled departure.

The young MP, whose presence was always a comforting factor for his electorate, had to face the frustration of his supporters on being unable to meet them due to excessive pain.

Earlier, adressing a meeting of Youth Congress workers at Munshiganj guest house, the Congress MP called upon them to brace up for the coming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Blaming the past non-Congress governments in UP for creating a vast divide in the society, he said the party workers should not be misled by these designs and exhorted them to work unitedly in the greater interest of the party.

CLTA tennis series from September 18
