PDP reconstitutes its political committee

Srinagar, Sep 13 (UNI) The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, today reconstituted its Political Affairs Committee (PAC), the highest decision-making body of the party.

The PDP has also nominated two new general secretaries and a political secretary to the party president, a spokesman of the PDP said here this afternoon.

He said the former Chief Minister and PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayed, his daughter and party president Mehbooba Mufti, former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Tariq Hamid Karra, Abdul Aziz Zargar, Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, Sardar Rangil Singh, Ved Mahajan, Nissar Ahmad Khan and Ramesh Motton will be the members of the new PAC, The party has also nominated four special invitees to PAC Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Qazi Mohammad Afzal, sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa and Master Tassaduq Hussain.

He said Dhaman Bhasin will be the General secretary for Jammu province while Nizam Uddin Bhat general secretary for Kashmir.

Peerzada Mansoor Hussain has been nominated political secretary to party president while Syed Basharat Bukhari would continue as PDP spokesman in addition to youth wing president while Smt Shanti Devi would also continue in her post as incharge of womens wing of the party.
