NAAC to hold two-day conference on student quality enhancement

Bangalore, Sept 13 (UNI) The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is holding a two-day International Conference on "Student Participation in Quality Enhancement" here on September 16 and 17 to mark its 12th Foundation Day.

The conference is the culmination of the "NAAC 2006 Year of Student participation in Quality Assurance" and coincided with the ongoing work of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) project on Student Participation in Quality Assurance, a NAAC press release said.

It aimed at contributing to exchange of good practices across countries in the region and to create awareness, among all stake holders about the importance of student particpation in quality enhancement.

The conference, supported by APQN, would be attended by 100 delegates including 10 representatives from Asian Pacific region.

RBI to issue star series banknotes

Small fire at cycle manufacturing unit

New Delhi, Sept 13 (UNI) A small fire raged through a manufacturing unit in Anand Parbat area of Central Delhi early today. However, no one was injured in the fire which was reported at about 0425 hrs, said the Fire Brigade.
