JKNPP authorises Bhim Singh on relationship with coalition parties

Jammu, Sep 13 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has authorised party president prof Bhim singh to decide appropriately on future relationship with coalition partners in the state.

The working committee in a meeting held here last evening under the chairmanship of prof Singh, declared the interest of the people of jammu region, in particular and the state in general, was the cardinal pinciples to decide the future relationship with Congress and People Democratic Party(PDP).

Prof Singh announced a committee under the chairmanship of Mr Faqir Nath, MLA to enquire into the incident in Samba, where a lady worker was expelled from the party. The other members of the committee Ms Anita Thakur, Mr Dalijit Singh, Ghulam Ali, Jagdev Singh and Sanjay Sharma.

The state president, vice presidents, general secretaries and district presidents of the party attended the meeting.

Karunakaran firm on DIC (K)-NCP merger

Kozhikode, Sep 13 (UNI) Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) Founder Leader K Karunakaran today expressed hope that the proposed merger of his party with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) would be materialised by the month end. ''The ball now is in Mr Pawar's court,'' Mr Karunakaran, who held discussions with NCP Chief Sharad Pawar on the issue here last night, told reporters. Presently both the parties had only decided to remain allies and a final decision.....

Top seed Akash Wagh upset

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) Top seeded Akash Wagh was upset by his compatriot Fariz Mohammad 6-4, 6-0 in the boys singles under-18 pre-quarter finals of the wilson-TTT ITF Juniors tennis tournament here today. Nothing went right for the top seed who committed far too many errors. The first set loss took the stuff out of him as Fariz reeled off the second set without conceding a game.
