Harvinder to lead Chandigarh in Santosh Trophy

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) Harvinder Pal of AG Audit Haryana will lead Chandigarh in the 61st Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy to be held at Gurgaon and Faridabad from September 15, according to Chandigarh Football Association secretary Rakesh Bakshi.

Other members of the team are: Deepak Gurang, Neeraj Malik, Raj Kumar, Anish Patial, Vikas Pannu, Ashwinder Singh, Arvinder, Ankit Malik, Mahipal, Kartik Bhardwaj, Prabhjot Singh, Pawandeep Singh, Sumer Singh, Deepak Huda, Bhupinder, Vinay, Harminder Singh and Mohit Raj. R K Sharma and CP Malik will accompany the team as officials.

Puskas in intensive care-agency

BUDAPEST, Sep 13 (Reuters) Hungarian soccer great Ferenc Puskas has been taken into intensive care in hospital, state news agency MTI reported today without giving any details. Puskas, 79, has been in hospital with form of Alzheimer's disease for six years and no one from his family or the hospital could be reached immediately for comment, although his biographer Gyorgy Szollosi confirmed the agency's report. Coastguard rescues 12 fishermen stranded off Morjim beach

Panaji, Sep 13 (UNI) The Coastguard rescued twelve fishermen who were stranded on a rocky terrain in two boats off the Morjim beach in north Goa today. The fishermen were later handed over to the fisheries association safely, according to the coastguard officials. On an alert, a patrolling vessel and a helicopter rushed to the spot. The helicopter had lowered an expert diver on one of the stranded boats and guided them to safety. UNI.....

Struggling model arrested in murder case

Mumbai, Sep 13 (UNI) A model was arrested today by the Varsova police on charges of murder of his flatmate and aspiring model on September 9 at their MHADA (Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority) colony in the western suburbs of Andheri. Varsova police said here today that accused Kunwarsingh Jotsingh alias Deepak Rawat (26), hailed from Uttaranchal while victim Trupti alias Shilpa Mandal (22) was from Kolkata. The duo were staying in flat.....
