Gold, silver ease in future trading

Mumbai, Sep 13 (UNI) Gold and silver eased in future trading on increased offers by stockists, traders at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) today said.

The white metal was quoted low at 10.98/11.05 US dollar per troy ounce, while gold was also quoted low at 583.75/584.50 US dollar per troy ounce at the closing in the global markets, they added.

Following were the gold and silver futures trading rates in rupees during the end of first session: Commodity, open, high, low, close, prev close.

CEO visits Purulia to oversee poll arrangements

Purulia, Sep 13 (UNI) Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of West Bengal Debasish Sen today arrived here to oversee the arrangements for the September 16 byelection to Purulia Lok Sabha seat. Mr Sen met the polling officials and discussed about polling arrangements. Talking to newsmen here, Mr Sen said 25 companies of Central para-military forces and 5000 state police would be deployed on the election day. He informed that a helicopter will be kept in Purulia.....

Aged man murdered by 4-member gang

Mysore, Sep 13 (UNI) An elderly man was brutally murdered by a four-member gang at Mudegowadanahalli village in Mysore Taluk today. Police said Kambegowda (60), a landlord and money lender, was waiting for a bus on the outskirts of the village when the four people, who came in two bicycles, attacked him with deadly weapons, killing him on the spot. The motive behind the murder was said to be money matters as they had.....

Ten CCTVs to be installed at Mysore palace

Mysore, Sep 13 (UNI) With a view to step up security measures inside the magnificent Mysore Palace, the Palace Board has decided to install ten closed circuit televisions (CCTVs) soon. Palace Board Deputy Director P V Avaradi said today that cameras would be installed in ten vantage points to monitor movement of visitors from the office of the Palace Board. The main entrance, steps and the venue where the Golden Throne would be on.....
