Four held in Hisar molestation case

Hisar, Sep 13 (UNI) Four people have been arrested by the district police for being involved in the alleged molestation of a girl student in Vishwas Public School being run by Vishwas Foundation here.

Manager of the school Rishi Sagar Vishwas and three others- Rishi Gautam Vishwas, Rishi Piyush Vishwas and Rishi Pushap Vishwas have been arrested and are being interrogated by the district police.

The Deputy Commissioner Fateh Singh Dagar today said the District Education Officer and Sub Divisional Education Officer have been directed to gather all facts concerning the incidence of alleged molestation of a girl student by the Director of the school and submit their report at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in the district with effect from today to maintain peace. It would prohibit the assembly of five or more than five people and carrying of lethal weapons like sticks or sharp edged weapons like swords and spears or fire arms.

Those found violating these orders would be dealt with sternly under the law.

He also urged the students to maintain calm and to meet him if they wanted to express their views. He made it clear that those found damaging public property and disturbing peace and tranquility would invite stern action against themselves. He also sought the cooperation of the students and their parents in maintaining law and order.

11,734 villages in NE to have telephone connectivity

Imphal, Sep 13 (UNI) Union Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology will provide telephone connectivity to about 11,734 villages in the North East. Officials said here today that there is a tremendous need to upgrade our telecom connectivity, especially in the rural areas. Plea to Sonia to close highway running through Jarawa land
