DONER team arriving Arunachal on September 14

Itanagar, Sep 13 (UNI) Ms Sushma Singh, Secretary, Ministry of DoNER (Development of North East Region) is arriving here tomorrow on a three-day visit.

The secretary, who will be accompanied by Joint Secretary D S Poonia, would meet Arunachal Chief Secretary Tabam Bam and hold meeting with the state government officers to review projects under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) and the North Eastern Council (NEC), according to official sources.

The team would also inspect the proposed sites of airport at Karsingsa, near here, 33 kv line from Nirjuli to Itanagar and the Nirjuli water supply project funded under NLCPR.

Besides making a visit to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital to take stock of the ongoing new OPD block funded under NLCPR, industrial emporium and Buddhist gompas, she is also likely to meet state Governor S K Singh and Chief Minister Gegong Apang.

Singh will also visit Pasighat to get first hand information of the progress of airport at Pasighat under NEC, flood protection works at Siang river, Siang bridge at Rane Ghat, Pasighat-Pangin road being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) besides meeting the Deputy Commissioner and other district officers, sources added.

Rains and thunder showers likely in next 24 hours in Bengal

Floors to be registered separately in Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) In a far reaching step, Haryana government has decided to formulate a comprehensive policy for registration of each floor separately on the pattern of the policy of the Chandigarh Administration and issue licences to property dealers so as to make them answerable.
