Cong denies Jagat Singh's charge

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) The Congress today refuted the charge of former external affairs minister Natwar Singh's son Jagat Singh that his father was being framed by the party.

"None had tried to implicate Mr Natwar Singh. A former Supreme Court judge had conducted the inquiry(into Volcker allegations), "Congress Spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi said.

"The conclusions of the former Chief Justice(who constituted the one man R S Pathak Authority) are there for all to see," he said talking to reporters here.

The law would take its course,Mr Chaturvedi added.

HC directs installation of techno-security within two weeks

Mumbai, Sep 13 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the state government to install within two weeks, the appropriate number of closed-circuit televisions and procure the required x-ray baggage scanners within its premises for tightening the security of the premises. Two undertrials killed in police firing, 5 others escape

Rajkot, Sep 13 (UNI) Police today opened fire on fourteen undertrials who were trying to escape from custody while they were being brought back to the jail after a court hearing in Rajula. While two undertrials were killed and one was injured, another five managed to escape. Six of them were however recaptured, said district superintendent of police R V Jotania over phone.
