Body of student brought to Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Sep 13 (UNI) The mortal remains of the student who drowned at a beach on September four, in US, was brought to the city today.

Mr Santosh Kumar, son of a merchant, went to US to pursue MSc (Computers) in January this year. On September four, he went to enjoy his holiday at a beach resort and got drowned accidentally, said family members.

The body was sent to his parents residing at Kotapet, here.

Kolkata, Sept 13 (UNI) Concerned over reports that a German woman tourist was allegedly slapped by a securityman here, West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi today sought inputs from the state government and the BSF authorities about the incident. ''Governor's secretary had conveyed the feelings to both state government and the BSF authorities, '' Raj Bhavan sources said. Allahabad, Sep 13 (uni) A writ petition filed by People's Union For Civil Liberty (PUCL) demanding the authorities not to execute the death penalty of a convict accused for raping and murdering a four-year old girl in Bulandshahr, was dismissed in limine today by a division bench of the Allahabad High Court.
