ARC to submit a report on handling terrorism : Moily

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) Chairman M Veerappa Moily today said he would be submitting his report on terrorism in the last week of October or in the first week of November.

In an informal chat with newspersons Mr Moily said initially he wanted terrorism to be part of the report concerning crisis management.

The ARC visited Jammu and Kashmir, of North-Eastern states of the country and Mumbai to have a feel of handling terror. "The draft report on crisis management is ready dealing with issues like conflict resolution, public order and other issues but I felt that terror should be dealt separately", he added.

He said the ARC had discussions with the Intelligence Bureau, the Research Analysis Wing and the people concerned with the Home Ministry on the issue. He would go to Mumbai again and submit the report which would be 'comprehensive, concise and very practical'.

GSPL finds traces of hydrocarbons in KG basin well

Ahmedabad, Sep 13 (UNI) The state-owned Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPCL) today said it has found traces of hydrocarbons in its exploration block in the Krishna Godavari basin. GSPL Managing Director D J Pandian said traces of hydrocarbons have been found in the fifth well. ''This is in the preliminary stages. Technical analysis is being done,'' he told UNI. Gold breaches below Rs 9,000 barrier first time after June 29

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Keeping pace with the overseas advices and fall in crude prices, Gold prices crashed by Rs 215 breaching the Rs 9,000 per 10 gm barrier for the first time after June 29, 2006, at the local bullion market today.
