Party MP V Hanumantha Rao told newspersons at New Delhi yesterday that the Congress President Sonia Gandhi did not approve such challenges and comments.

The opposition TDP however alleged that both the TDP and TRS were hoodwinking the people by making allegations against each other, ignoring the basic problems of the people.

Talking to newspersons at Chittoor, TDP legislature wing Deputy leader Nagam Janardhana Reddy alleged that there were problems like power shortage, farmers' suicides, spread of Chikungunya and rise in the prices of essential commodities.

The Government would do well by attending to these, instead of engaging itself in verbal duels with opposition parties, Dr Reddy added.
