Aged man murdered by 4-member gang

Mysore, Sep 13 (UNI) An elderly man was brutally murdered by a four-member gang at Mudegowadanahalli village in Mysore Taluk today.

Police said Kambegowda (60), a landlord and money lender, was waiting for a bus on the outskirts of the village when the four people, who came in two bicycles, attacked him with deadly weapons, killing him on the spot.

The motive behind the murder was said to be money matters as they had arguments in this connection several times earlier.

All the four accused were absconding.

Additional police force was deployed at the village in view of the tense situation there following the murder.

Close circuit cameras at bus stands in NCR

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to set up close circuit cameras at all bus stands of the districts falling in the National Capital Region for close monitoring and strict vigil on anti-social elements. Control arms campaigners urge Govt to sign Arms Trade Treaty

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Supporters of control arms campaign, including gun survivors, today urged India to lead world leaders into signing an international Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) at the United Nations General Assembly next month.
