AASU rally against price rise

Guwahati, Sep 13 (UNI) The All Asom Student Union (AASU) today took out a protest procession through the Guwahati city against price hike of essential commodities.

The demonstration was organised by the All Guwahati Students Union (AGSU) and more than 5000 students took part in the procession.

The students were protesting against the price hike alleging that it was done in most improper manner and without any valid reasoning, as there was no rise in the source point of these commodities.

The AASU is of the view that ordinary farmers already troubled by the drought like situation would be worst affected by the price hike.

Shuttle astronauts go out for second spacewalk

Tidel Park to come up in TN Textile City

Coimbatore, Sep 13 (UNI) The Tidel Park, a joint venture between the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), will start functioning in 20 months on the Avinashi Road here, ELCOT Managing Director C Umashankar today said.
