Mr Dharmendr Kamthan, organising secretary of the tournament told newsmen here today that the five-day tournament has a total prize money of Rs 4.5 lakh and will be played in men, women, under-19 (boys), under-17 (boys-girls), under-15 (boys)and under-13 (boys) sections.
He said defending champion Gaurav Nandrajog local girl Surbhi Misra have been seeded second in their respective section.
In the under-19 boys section Sandeep Jhangra and Parth Sharma, in under-17 boys Sami Johnson and Gunraj Singh, in the girls under-17 Surbhi Misra and Shivangi, in the boys under-15 Karam Kumar and Karna Tharyamal and boys under-13 Karam have been seeded first and second respectively.
Mr Kamthan said the men's winner will receive a prize money of Rs 75,000 while the women's winner will be richer by Rs 30,000. The venue of the tournament-Jaipur club has two beautiful international glass back beach wood floor and armour coated walls as per the international specifications having a capacity of 250 spectators.
He said around 250 players are expected to figure in the tournament. Surbhi Misra will be the star attraction the locals.
