Kumaraswamy to attend in CMs Conference on internal security

Bangalore, Sep 2 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumarasway will be attending the Conference of Chief Ministers to discuss issues pertaining to internal security, to be chaired by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on September Five.

According to a communication issued from Chief Minister's Secretariate, Mr Kumaraswamy would be leaving for New Delhi on September Four.

The Chief Minister, during his stay, would also meet some Union Ministers to discuss the pending projects of the State.

Nine killed in road accident in Chitradurga District

Chitradurga, Sep 02 (UNI) Nine people were killed including seven women, and two injured seriously, all from Maharashtra, when a van in which they were travelling collided head-on against a truck near Begalarahatti in Chitradurga district this morning. The police sources said the mishap occurred when a vehicle which was on the way to Shirdi after visiting pilgrimage places in Karnataka. Nine people were killed on the spot.while the injured were admitted into General Hospital.....

Special court adjourned the case to October 28

Bangalore, Sep 2 (UNI) The designated court hearing the disproportionate wealth case of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minsiter Jayalalithaa and four others today adjourned the proceedings to October 28 as the matter was before the Supreme Court.
