CID investigation progesses at fast pace

Ujjain, Aug 30 (UNI) A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team, led by IG M P Dwivedi, today started investigations, into the death of Madhav College Principal Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal when he was allegedly attacked by some persons on August 26.

After Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered a CID inquiry into the professor's death, the team arrived here last evening and started investigations.

It is understood that the team will finish its work by this evening and return to Bhopal. A report is expected to be presented tomorrow.

The team interrogated sole eyewitness chowkidar Komal Singh besides viewing recording of the incident done by various television channels and talking to various staff present on the scene.

Mr Dwivedi also obtained information about various related links in the case from Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad.

Moral, physical edu compulsory subjects in UP Board

Allahabad, Aug 30 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate to recognise moral and physical education as compulsory subjects.
