Kumaraswamy terms Cong's contribution to Alamatti as negative

Speaking to mediapersons after attending a national seminar on 'Women: Science and Technology' here, he sarcastically said everbody knew about the contributions made by the Congress to realise the World Bank-assisted Upper Krishna Project, which had dragged on for over four decades. He would talk on the subject at an appropriate time and denied that the JD(S)-BJP Government was politicising the issue.

Mr Kumaraswamy said the State Government was suferring from both severe flood and drought conditions. Over 125 taluks had received deficit rainfall, resulting in withering of standing crops. The Government had prepared an action plan to combat both the situations and sought Central assistance for stepping up relief work.
