Coca Cola banned near temples in Bangalore

Bangalore: The State Govt banned the sale of carbonated drinks near 2,000temples with immediate effect. Carbonated drinks are also banned near educatinal institutions, private and Govt hospitals.

Sources say that 13 aerated drinks have been banned in shops and establishments within a radius of 100 feet of temples.
The Government has filed a case against Coca-Cola under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, however, similar cases have been filed against Thums Up and Mirinda.

Karnataka is the first state to file a case against a soft drink firm while Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab have partially banned the sale of soft drinks.

RSS comes up with cow water alternative to Coca Cola and Pepsi

London, Feb.12 (ANI): India's right-wing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has claimed that it has developed Gau Jal or Cow Water at its research centre in Haridwar, and hopes it will be marketed as a 'healthy' alternative to Coke and Pepsi.Hindus worship cows for their life-sustaining dairy products, but many also consume bovine urine and faeces in drinks and spice mixes for their "health-giving" properties.In some Indian states, cow dung and urine are sold in regular dairy shops alongside.....
