RCF recommended for continuation of ISO-9001:2000

Kapurthala, Aug 14 (UNI) Rail Coach Factory (RCF) has been recommended for the continuation of ISO-9001:2000 certification by a team of auditors who conducted an extensive surveillance audit on August 10 and 11, an RCF press release here today said.

RCF had obtained ISO 9001 certification in 1995 and the advanced version of ISO 9001:2000 was awarded to the factory in 2001.

A three member team of auditors led by Col B N Khera of Indian register quality system conducted the surveillance audit of the factory.

Kancheepuram, Aug 14 (UNI) A woman was killed on the spot in a road accident, while another woman suffered serious injuries at Indira Nagar junction road in Madurantakam near here when a mini van kocked them down. Police said the mishap occurred when the victims, working as coolies, were walking by the roadside, last evening. The deceased woman was identified as Valliammal(35). Bhopal, Aug 14 (UNI) Rail traffic has been badly affected with heavy rains pounding the state capital and adjoining areas since last night and derailment of the Raptisagar Express' engine near Midghat station in Bhopal Division of the West Central Railway.
