RCA umpiring seminar concludes

Jaipur, Aug 14 (UNI) A three day seminar on umpiring standards and procedures orgnaised by the Rajasthan Cricket Association concluded today in Udaipur.

According to RCA about 80 delegates from various districts participated in the seminar.

M S shekhawat, RS Rathur and BL sharma of the BCCI umpiring panel were among the facilitators training the delegates of the standards and procedures followed by the ICC for international cricket.

RCA secretary Subash Joshi, Treasurer CP Ojha and CEO Gajraj Singh Rathaur were among those present at the occassion.

Polish party asks Grass to give up honorary title

GDANSK, Poland, Aug 14 (Reuters) Poland's ruling party called on German author Guenter Grass on Monday to give up his honorary citizenship of the port city Gdansk after his belated confession that he was once a member of Hitler's Waffen SS. GlaxoSmithKline, Shionogi complete HIV drug study

CHICAGO, Aug 14: GlaxoSmithKline and Shionogi Co. Ltd. today said they have completed the initial clinical study for an experimental HIV/AIDS drug that blocks viral replication by preventing its integration into the genetic material of human immune cells.The drug, called 364735, belongs to a new class of anti-HIV drugs called integrase inhibitors and is being developed by a joint venture between Glaxo and Shionogi.Results from the Phase I study of 364735, conducted in the United States to assess.....

India to invest $1 bn in Ivory Coast mining
