New Price Index proposed

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (Central Statistical Organisation) has a proposal to make a new price index in the form of "Urban Consumer Price Index," the Lok Sabha was told today.

In view of above, it is proposed to Consumer Price Indices (CPI) covering all segments of urban population for states and Union Territories and all India.
