Vadodara, Aug 14 (UNI) Minister of State for Railways Naranbhai Rathwa today threatened to commit suicide if the tricolour was not unfurled here at the secretarial building as proposed.
Accusing the state government of ''insulting him,'' he said last year, a similar incident occurred when the scheduled flag-hoisting function at the secretarial building was suddenly shifted without his knowledge to the Gujarat Bhavan.
''When I reached the place at the appointed hour I came to know that the ceremony was over at a different place,'' Mr Rathwa said.
Terming this as an insult, he warned that he will not take it lying down this time around and even go to the extent of committing suicide if the venue is shifted.
