Maoists join hands against US

Gaya, Aug 14 (UNI) Ironing out their differences, Maoists of India and Nepal have joined hands against 'American interference' in the internal affairs of countries, specially in South Asia.

Despite elaborate security arrangements and high alert sounded in the Magadh range on the eve of Independence day, the Maoists distributed a press release in the sensitive Gaya district and announced their joint strategies against 'proletarian internationalism'.

The release was signed jointly by Satya of Nepal Maoists and Azad, the spokesperson of Maoists of India. Incidentally security agencies are engaged in anti-Maoists operations in different parts of the country specially, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh.

Having common ideologies both Nepal and Indian Maoists have pledged to oppose the American stand saying that American agencies were 'directly intervening' in suppression of Maoist movement in both India and Nepal.

''As part of their direct intervention the US officers had trained the Royal Nepal Army and even entered all spheres of the society to subvert the ongoing anti-monarchial movement. US diplomats are frequently visiting Chhatisgarh and military jungle warfare camps to supress the Maoists,'' the statement read.

The release also condemned Israel`s operations in Lebanon saying it had been 'sponsored by US'. ''In the name of attacking guerrila resistance, the Israeli regime, backed by America, have resorted to massacre killing about 1000 people and displacing 25 per cent of Lebanon's population. US imperealist is becoming fiercer throughout the world and this is yet another adventure against an independent country,'' the statement noted.

Not satisfied by being bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US stooges were facing stiff resistance in Lebanon, it alleged. The attack on Lebanon is frought with great dangers as the forces fighting there have the strong backing of Syria and Iran. If the war escalates it can engulf the entire West Asia, it warned.

In the release the Moists expressed concern over the tactical questions being adopted in both India and Nepal and stressed the need for taking up ideological, politcal and strategic issues jointly. Reasserting their firm unity in the spirit of proletarian internationalism, the banned outfits vowed to shun their differences in the interest of international communist movement.

Earlier, the Maoists of India, active in Magadh range, had given a call to observe Independence day celebrations as 'black' day.

In view of the call and suspecting terrorist as well as Maoist attacks, the administration had arranged a thick security cover breaking which the Maoists openly issued the release yesterday among the intelligentia and the press.
